A Documentary, a Conversation, and a Chance to Help Older Adults Age Safely

Falls are the leading cause of injury for adults ages 65 and older. Over 14 million, or 1 in 4 older adults, report falling every year. The number is staggering, but it isn’t fixed. Older adult falls are common, costly, and preventable.

That last word is the reason for this event.

On Tuesday, September 22nd, the San Diego premiere of The Saving Claire Project brings that conversation into the room. The documentary uses storytelling, not statistics alone, to change how we talk about aging and falls prevention. It’s aimed at the conversations most of us avoid until it’s too late: the ones with ourselves, with the people we love, and with the healthcare partners who care for them.

More Than a Screening

A film can do what a fact sheet can’t. It puts a face and a story to a risk that too often gets treated as inevitable, and it makes the case that aging safely and confidently is something we can plan for together.

That’s why this premiere is built as a call to action, not just a viewing. Whether you’re a healthcare partner, an aging services provider, a senior center leader, or simply someone who wants to be part of the conversation, there’s a place for you in the room.

Help Spread the Word

If you know someone who cares about helping older adults live safely and independently, share this with them. The conversation is stronger with more people in it.

We hope to see you there.
