Founded in 1994, the Texas-based organization primarily focuses on supporting social services that target hunger and homelessness and improve access to healthcare for the underserved. Created by Roland and Ramona Sahm, the Sahm Family Foundation is a private family foundation based in Southern California. Its mission is to improve the welfare of children and seniors and to support the fine and performing arts. In 2019 the Sahm Family Foundation gave nearly $1 million in grants to local senior-focused organizations, making it one of the largest gifts ever given to San Diego’s aging population.
