Grantmaking

As a community foundation, part of our mission is to increase philanthropy to programs and projects that improve quality of life for older people in San Diego County. Our giving is particularly focused on vulnerable and disadvantaged populations including elder orphans, communities of color, and seniors who are homeless.

Grant proposals will be considered by invitation only – we do not accept unsolicited applications. For more information, contact Joe Gavin, Chief Programs & Community Engagement Officer, at joe@sdscf.org.

COVID-19 Response Grants

SDSCF is currently accepting proposals from community organizations that are supporting isolated seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic. A select group of organizations has been invited to participate. Details and grant guidelines are available here.
