Our oldest community members – who are homebound and alone during the holidays – have been hit hardest by the pandemic.
Social isolation among seniors was already a public health crisis before COVID-19, and now it’s worse than ever. As a foundation, we are committed to solving it. Will you help us provide holiday solace to seniors?
Bring holiday comfort, company and celebrations to San Diego’s older adults. Last year we distributed over $50,000 in holiday grants ranging from holiday drive-through parties, gift bags, poinsettias, technology to connect with loved ones, meals, and much more. Check out the organizations and activities assisted here and see the response from seniors in this video. This holiday season, we have the chance to DOUBLE the number of seniors, but we need your help to do it!
Our gracious partners, the Sahm Family Foundation will match every donation up to $50,000 through #GivingTuesday, November 30. That means your $20 becomes $40; $100 becomes $200; $500 becomes $1,000.
Will you join us to reduce social isolation and spread holiday cheer to the thousands of older San Diegans and reach our goal of $100,000?
For many seniors, this may be the first time they can gather in a safe way to celebrate the holidays with their friends since the pandemic began.
Together we can ensure no senior is alone during the holidays. Every donation will be matched through November 30!
Please Give Now. Thank you.
