News Report: SDSCF Announces First Grants From $1 Million No Senior Alone Initiative

Just weeks after launching the No Senior Alone initiative to raise $1 million to fight social isolation, San Diego Seniors Community Foundation announced our first round of grant awards. With the money raised in part through a matching gift from the Sahm Family Foundation, we selected nine senior service providers with unique programs to support older people across San Diego County during the COVID-19 pandemic.

SDSCF board member Derek Quackenbush dropped in on KUSI’s Good Morning San Diego program to talk about the good work our grantees are doing in the community and how San Diegans can help.
