The U.S. Census, which occurs once every ten years, is vitally important to our community. The local population count helps determine the amount of federal funding we receive for things like roads, hospitals, schools, police, Medicare, SNAP benefits, housing, unemployment insurance, and more. It is important for everyone to be counted, but older people are of particular concern this year with the census moving online.
