Dear Friend,

Next week will mark the beginning of Older Americans Month, which we celebrate every May. The theme this year is Communities of Strength – a fitting tribute after the shared hardship of the pandemic. As we reflect on the past year, we are inspired by the strength of the San Diego community, which pulled together to support our older neighbors with an energy like we’ve never seen before.

Now, spring has sprung, and San Diegans are full of new life as people young and old get vaccinated. But before this celebratory moment fades, we must harness the energy and strength of our amazing community to continue improving quality of life for seniors today and into the future.

As a foundation, we are working to do just that. We’ve got some plans up our sleeve that we are excited to share, and we promise you’ll be the first to hear the news when it’s ready.

Until then, stay safe, get your shots, and check in on the seniors in your life. It’s our shared sense of community that gives us strength.

Yours in health,

Ted Chan
