A pumpkin they made by hand. A holiday you make possible.
For too many seniors in our community, the holidays arrive with no gift and no visit. A single succulent pumpkin — handcrafted by local students — changes that. Every one you buy funds holiday joy for a senior who’d otherwise go without.

WHAT YOUR PUMPKIN DOES
Every Pumpkins for Good purchase goes straight to seniors who need it most:
No Senior Alone is about warmth, dignity, and a reminder that someone is thinking of them.

HOW IT STARTED
It started at a kitchen table. In 2018, Jennifer learned to make succulent pumpkins and taught her daughter, Madeline. The two made them together every fall for fun, and as gifts for Madeline’s teachers.
When COVID hit, they turned that skill toward something bigger, running donation drives for the Holiday Baskets for Seniors at the Encinitas Community Resource Center. The joy of making stuck. So did the mission and Pumpkins for Good was born. It’s a wonderful way for people to give to a cause and take home something beautiful for their kindness.
Three years in and it’s grown into a holiday party with hundreds of seniors served, and now a partnership with the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation.
This year’s goal is to fund the entire Senior Gift Basket program and support other senior programs alongside at the same time.
